OnlyFans Teams Up With Spring To Launch Its Own Shopping Feature

OnlyFans is planning for partnership with Spring – the merch company that was acquired by Amaze. Previously, Spring was also known as TeeSpring. It is known for helping creators make their own products for their audiences. OnlyFans is attempting to create its own market for the creators on this platform.

How it functions is going to be similar to TikTok Shop and Instagram Shopping on TikTok and Meta’s Instagram, respectively. When you visit someone’s profile, if they use the feature to represent their merch to their followers. Then, their followers might browse and support the creators by purchasing the products by being directed to their Spring page.

OnlyFans has been developing gradually in recent years with remarkable revenue and profit. This year, the company grossed over $2.5 billion and made $433 million in profit. Clearly, the platform is going forward, strongly. Notably, OnlyFans was launched in 2016 in order to help creators be able to charge an amount of money for a monthly/yearly subscription or so. Currently, the number of creators has surpassed 3 millions. Ami Gan, CEO of OnlyFans, shared in a press release ““As a creator-first organization, there are over 3 million creators on OnlyFans, meaning over 3 million small businesses now have access to a new monetisation tool.”

Despite being used mostly by sex workers (pornography actors and actresses, studios), there are also many celebrities who have OnlyFans accounts. These include Bella Thorne, Cardi B, professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., DJ Khaled and Fat Joe… It is not limited to pornography but creators might literally share anything they want. From music, cooking, behind-the-scenes of a shooting, working out,… The diversity is unlimited.

The deal was closed and the feature might be used now already. The new integration lets creators make income from each sold item with the same rates as any other Spring shop. Hence the cost of production, creators might earn the rest. They might also set the price, select and manage what they want to sell including t-shirts, mugs, pillows, iPhone cases and puzzles.

“Amaze cares about creator monetization, and by bringing new products and functionality, we put the power in the hands of the creator. This integration with OnlyFans enables a whole set of motivated creators with a new revenue stream and opportunity to connect with their fans in a new, innovative way,” Aaron Day, CEO of Amaze Software said to the public.
